<p>Ahuriri was one of the earliest settled areas in Napier, and its importance for Hawke's Bay and New Zealand grew as the area developed. West Quay was one of the main areas of harbour activity in Ahuriri and is home to the local commercial fishing boats.</p>
<p>Napier offers an amazing number of activities for those who love the sea. The Pacific Ocean on the East Coast is warm in summer, with beautiful safe beaches and great diving locations. </p>
<p>Above the waves there is water skiing, sailing, surfing and kayaking to enjoy. Sea fishing is excellent off the coast, and if you prefer fresh water fishing there are plenty of trout in the rivers of Central Hawke's Bay.</p></td>
